Compartment Integrator - Design Knowledge
A Compartment Integrator with Design Knowledge is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Edinburgh
This is a 12 month contract with a UK leading Defence company.
Overview of the Compartment Integrator contract role
You will be required to be our clients naval vessel Mission System point of contact for a set of allocated Mission System owned compartments and to be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the maintenance of their design intent. The role will be predominantly based in Rosyth but infrequent travel to other production sites may be required
Key skills required for the Compartment Integrator
- Ability to assimilate and interpret 3D CAD models (eg FORAN/TRIBON/CREO-View/AutoCAD) and Production Output Drawings.
- Able to assess physical implementation of the compartment design for compliance with design rules and general engineering standards.
- Has sufficient capability to be able to recommend correct trade-off decisions
- Knowledge of the physical integration tasks involved in the installation of MS equipment
- Maintain an effective liaison with other teams/agencies in engineering matters relating to their area of responsibility.
The role is based in Edinburgh - commutable from Dundee, Perth, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline, Stirling and Falkirk with excellent access from Glasgow
