Contract Engineer (Equipment Electrical)
The role:
Working closely with other equipment engineers, mechanical design engineers, test engineers and technicians you will design, build and assemble the electrical interfaces for new test equipment.
Design electronic interfaces, wiring diagrams, simple schematic/PCB layout and cable assemblies for new R&D test equipment
Provide complete data pack to suppliers for manufacture of Electronic systems/sub-systems
Manage external design work - providing specification, review and approval
Hands on assembly and commissioning work for in-house builds
Experience Required:
ONC/HND qualified in Electronics Engineering with proven industrial experience.
Minimum 3-8 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing development environment.
Ability to design appropriate electrical interface for test equipment (wiring loom, control boxes, junction boxes, cable assemblies, interlocking etc)
Proven hands on equipment building and commissioning experience.
Experience in mechatronic equipment design and commissioning (Printers, Cartesian robotics, linear actuators, stepper motors, PLC etc).
