Control System and Integration Engineer/Consultant
For one of our leading tech clients we are urgently looking for a Control System and Integration Engineer/Consultant with at least 7 years experience for a long contract until the end of 2017!
Essential Skills:
- Extremely good understanding of the of control system like PLC, SCADA
- PLC Programming (must have Rockwell ControlLogix & Siemens Step7 and other PLC will be good to have)
- Understanding of OPC server (Kepware, Matricon)
- Extremely good understanding of integration of control system with MES or Historian
- Extremely good understanding of PLC gateway/protocol convertor to establish communication between multi-vendor PLCs and integration
- Knowledge of Project life cycle from design, development, testing and commissioning (Design, development, SIT, UAT and Support)
Job Description:
The successful Control System and Integration Engineer/Consultant will Lead the consulting and transformation initiatives in MES delivery for process industry. The project will focus on (but not be limited to) MES implementation. For successful implementation of MES system it is required to integrate shop floor control system with MES. Our client is looking for a Control System and Integration Engineer/Consultant who has good knowledge of control system and can be Front End at client location for control system integration work.
Ideally you will have a minimum of a Bachelors or Masters degree in Instrumentation and Control or Industrial Automation disciplines with an overall experience of 7-10 years, IT system deployment/management experience of 10+ years
Nice to have skills:
- Extremely good understanding of the manufacturing processes used in Consumer packaged goods or process industry and relevant IT systems
- Product evaluation and selection (Sensor, PLC, PLC accessories, Network switch)
- Should have work experience on different protocol like Ethernet, OPC, Profibus, Modbus or vendor specific proprietary protocol
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Desire to work in an IT systems environment
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
