Job Responsibilities:- Design, implement and test control algorithms.
- Design and implement embedded software to support/implement control algorithms.
- Provide technical insight and leadership.
- Write requirement specifications as well as support the verification and validation process.
- Support the development of manufacturing tools and processes.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers including marketing, sales, clinical services, medical practitioners, and product users.
Skills, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in EE/ME/CS.
- Working knowledge of control systems.
- Working knowledge of embedded systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in one of the following industries: medical devices, aerospace, robotics, or automation.
- Classical control theory.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink.
- Experience with robotic and sensor systems.
- Good signal processing capabilities.
- Design and implementation of microcontroller based embedded systems.
- Good communication skills for interacting with patients, customers and cross disciplinary engineering teams during the development process.
- Fluent in C/C++.
- Team player attitude
Desired:
- Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or human motion analysis.
- Seasoned knowledge of the software development life cycle including planning, hazard analysis, requirements, architectural design, development, verification and validation testing in a process-driven environment
- Working knowledge of design control procedures, design transfer to manufacturing, regulatory requirements, FDA, IEC, CE, ISO, IEEE
- Design and implementation of microcontroller based embedded systems.
