Description
Cost Engineer
Provide cost management advice to heads of facility/program and relevant CAMs to enable interpretation of EV outputs and utilisation of this information, where appropriate. Ensure standardised processes are deployed across EAC and FCAC, to facilitiate streamlined reporting for the business.
Core Duties
- Interpretation and future prediction of Earned Value (EV) evaluations
- Feedback of EV output interpretation to the CAM population
- Ensure the standardised Estimate at Completion (EAC) processes across the business are adhered to and programme assumptions are Embedded within their area of responsibility
- Generate and communicate cost management KPI's
- Ensure team are equipped to support the EAC process in establishing best informed position
- Influence and support to the management population to ensure Estimate to complete (ETC) is reflective of indicative trends
- Support to sign off of Business Case benefits
- Ensure signed off benefits are Embedded within business processes and reflected in EAC
- Highlight performance issues against Control Account Plans (CAPs) to management population
- Support cost manager in management of the team
- Ensure that projects comply with statutory legislation from the Single Source Regulations Office (SSRO) by challenging data integrity, to enable demonstration of costs as Appropriate, Attributable and Reasonable (AAR)
