Description
A contract Cost Engineer/Cost Administrator is required to support the Project Controls Manager in the delivery of a major European bio pharmaceutical CAPEX investment.Location: France
Duration: Initial 12 month contract
This investment is a mixture of refurbishment and new build and will include laboratory, warehouse, and dispensing, filling and packaging capabilities.
Day to day duties:
- Deliver accurate, consistent and up-to-date financial project figures – on KPI’s such as budget, actual spend, accrued cost, forecast, cash flow projection etc.
- Perform budget analysis (e.g. plan/actual comparison, forecast of variable personnel cost) and budgeting for the project and its respective sub-projects.
- Establish the relevant project reports on time and with the required quality and accuracy.
- Support project throughout the full lifecycle from concept to close, interacting with the Engineering consultancies/users executing work
- Apply and develop controlling tools
- Take part in regular technical meetings to ensure communication with all Engineering functions/Stake Holders and Project Developers as needed
- Ensure interface with Risk Management, Procurement and Accounting
- Deputise for Project Controls Lead
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure and to tight time lines
- Excellent MS Excel skills required; knowledge of additional controlling tools an advantage
- Experience in interacting with colleagues in a Project Matrix organisation
- Previous experience of providing cost support on CAPEX projects from initial conception to close
- Language skills- business French/English – written and oral
- Experience in Cost Management and Project Control of large scale €100 million CAPEX Projects
- Experience gained working on Pharma/bio pharma CAPEX projects
- International project experience
