A leading Private Investment Hedge Fund are seeking a highly academically, intelligent Data Analyst to join their Research Support team. This is a complex trading environment where they are compromised of Developers, Researchers, Traders and Technologists. They pride themselves on pioneering the automation and development of trading processes.

The ideal candidate will be involved in Data Analysis, Modelling, resolving production issues and liaising with developers to ensure optimum performance of trading systems are in constantly being improved and monitored. The role will also involve the Design and monitoring of applications and tools to help investigate problems and regular maintenance on trading model systems as well as working with portfolio managers and researchers as 1st/2nd line support will be a core daily activity for this position.

The Research Support Data Analyst should have a good blend of the following skills/experiences:

-Solid experience across Linux and UNIX platforms
-3+ years programming experience on Java or C/C++ and Python

-Strong academic background; the majority of the team are made up of PHD and Masters level researchers, quants and traders

-Passionate about Data Analysis, Correlation, Standard Deviation and basic statistics/probability models
