Data Management Lead, SC Cleared, ETL, SSIS
Role
The post holder will be responsible for the support and development of data migration and data interface routines.
Responsibilities
- Manage the design and build of the central staging database, used to consolidate and cleanse source data prior to migration to the IMS.
- Manage the development and support of extract, transform and load (ETL) routines.
- Act as a liaison between the business and the IMS vendor to ensure accurate communication of requirements and issues relating to data migrations and interfaces.
- Documentation of data management processes and techniques.
- Early identification and effective communication of risks and issues, ensuring clear and concise flow of management information is passed up the chain of command allowing effective mitigation.
- Working closely with the business and external contractors to understand key data related challenges at a business and technical level.
- Design and management of efficient, pragmatic solutions to data migration issues.
Essential Requirements
- A working knowledge of Microsoft SSIS in a data management environment.
- SQL development skills.
- Strong database modelling skills including conceptual, logical and physical design techniques.
- An understanding of database design, relational modelling including 3rd normal form, ideally with Infrastructure and Asset Management Datamodelling experience.
- Strong previous experience of data migration projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Strong Interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and work prioritising skills.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies, specifically enterprise-scale applications.
- Ability to learn functionality and processes.
- Ability to analyse situations and options effectively.
- Experience of IBM TRIRIGA and/or property/infrastructure management highly desirable
