Description
Data Manager required for 3 month contract for a large banking organisation in Bradford.
The role of Data Manager sits within the Data Strategy and Policy Team and forms a core part of the Data Management Team.
The role reports to the Head of Data Strategy and Policy and has responsibility for:
Supporting the definition and documentation of policies and strategies for key elements of data.
Supporting the rollout and governance of key data related policies.
Leading the definition and implementation of key data related projects and/or representing the Data Management Team on key data related projects.
Reviewing requirements and proposals from around the business to ensure all data related considerations have been adequately assessed and captured.
Representing the Data Management Team in relevant meetings and forums.
The Data Manager will:
Conduct analyses and supply information to support strategic activities across the business, using knowledge of data policies and data considerations to develop and recommend appropriate internal business solutions.
Take decisions and recommend changes to project scope/deliverables and policies/procedures, driving through to implementation where appropriate.
Help ensure data related policy documentation is complete and up to date.
Work with T/O and key business areas and stakeholders to help rollout and ensure awareness and adherence to policy and data related considerations
Skills and Experience Required:
Knowledge of data Regulations, Policies, and Compliance requirements.
Experience dealing with 3rd party relationships and delivering on 3rd party projects.
Experience writing and delivering policy documentation.
Confident written and verbal communicator, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Good leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and influence at senior management level.
Good working knowledge of professional standards and codes.
Project and Change Management experience.
Customer Data background, with detailed knowledge of the importance and impact of customer data to the bank.
Detailed knowledge of the wide range of Financial Services Products.
