DATA MANAGER - 5MTH CONTRACT

REMOTE WORKING - £580pd INSIDE IR35

The Data and Workload Manager will be responsible for a small team (circa 5 FTE) ensuring that the data held is controlled, assured and managed effectively. Critically the Data and Workload Manager, working with the Operations Manager, will be responsible for the effective workload management, ensuring that capacity across the different teams and organisations is understood, and that work is appropriately prioritised, allocated and tracked. The team is also responsible for MI collation and reporting on inputs, outputs, performance and outcomes, for internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility of data management, MI and reporting and workload allocation and tracking Manage demand, workload and resources to meet service objectives
  • Ensure that systems, processes and ways of working are effective and work with the project team to continually improve service provision
  • Work with senior leaders to ensure effective end-to-end service workload management and reporting, regardless of where in the organisation activities are undertaken
  • Lead on development and maintenance of databases and the overall data and workload management model
  • Lead on end to end data integrity and quality, ensuring all data is kept up to date, is fully auditable and fit for purpose
  • Work with our data partner to ensure we receive as accurate and appropriately segmented business data as possible
  • Work with Performance/MI lead on delivering accurate and insightful management information and dashboards (the Performance and MI lead will report into this role)
  • Work with other parts of the organisation on provision and analysis of data (eg businesses, process, outcomes etc.) to inform policy, science, insight, process improvements and communications
  • Lead, motivate and support the data management/reporting team 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Solid data management and analytical skills
  • Advanced skills in data management tools (primarily Excel, VBA)
  • Experience in resource and workload management including capacity planning, work segmentation, prioritisation, and tracking
  • Planning, co-ordination and organisational skills with the ability to meet challenging deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, external partners and senior stakeholders
