Role:
Running of daily, weekly & monthly data reconciliations.
Preparation of monthly & quarterly reporting packs & Dashboards.
Analysis of Data Quality issues including root cause analysis of financial discrepancies.
Running of data profiling reports using the Trillium toolset.
Execution of key analysis & reporting during the month end process.

General Skills & Knowledge

  • Keen interest in business & finance (specific exposure to insurance data preferred)
  • Good written standard of English & well developed communication skills
  • Strong analysis skills with a background in data analysis
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong PC skills, particularly with MS Office software such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Analytic mindset, inquisitive nature and good interpretive skills
  • Ability to follow written procedures with minimal support
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities with a background of delivery in a fast moving change environment.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Advanced MS Excel (knowledge of pivot tables and VBA)
  • SQL
  • Visual Basic
  • Data Profiling (knowledge of Trillium tools or other Data Profiling tools preferred)
  • Good understanding of data and data analysis

Experience:

  • Strong systems knowledge in a financial services environment (preferably insurance).
  • Experience of working successfully in a volatile and fast moving environment.
  • Experience of working within the Data Quality arena.
  • Experience of data reconciliation capability within a financial services environment (preferably insurance).
  • Experience of pulling together content for dashboard reporting.
  • Experience of data profiling within a financial services environment (preferably insurance).
