Description
As part of Network Solutions organisation, the Network Security engineer role is to provide Network Design and Project implementation consistent with Security/WAN/LAN/Voice/Wireless practices, manage technical support for data and voice services globally, to be in charge of securing private network.
Detailed description/This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks performed:
- Create and implement network design solutions with security and controls statements in line with corporate guidelines.
- Support and participate in projects as required
- Perform device configuration changes in line with Change Management practices
- Provide Tier 3 level support and readily interface with external vendors
- Ensure project documentation (diagrams, commissioning databases) is kept evergreen MUST HAVE's
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experiences in enterprise/service provider environment
- CCNP Security certificate (or CCSP)
- Experiences in medium and large enterprise networks.
- The following technologies:
IPS, IDS systems
Firewall virtualization
VPN concentrators, DMVPN
Certificate handling
Encryption methods
NAT (Network Address Translation)
DMZ
- Fluent English (written and verbal)
- Good communication, negotiation and problem solving skill
- Strong multitasking skill
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills
- Strong planning and coordination skills

- Experienced with MP-BGP, MPLS, VRF technologies
