This is a specialist role for someone who has genuinely built and operated Data Vault 2.0 pipelines on Snowflake at enterprise scale — not someone who has read about it. If that's you, the work is serious, the client is credible, and there's real runway beyond the initial contract.

Remobi is placing a Senior Data Engineer into a major European energy business
You'll be a core contributor to an enterprise data platform — Snowflake-based, built on Data Vault 2.0 principles — that underpins planning, analytics, and reporting across the organisation. The contract runs until September 2026 initially, with a strong likelihood of extension for the right person. Fully remote, B2B .
What you'll be doing
- Designing and building scalable data pipelines across raw, harmonisation, and data mart layers
- Implementing and evolving the Data Vault 2.0 harmonisation layer — Hubs, Links, Satellites, and Business Vault patterns
- Handling the full range of CDC patterns: full loads, incremental loads, log-based and snapshot-based approaches
- Optimising Snowflake query performance — warehouse sizing, clustering, materialisation, cost governance
- Implementing automated data quality rules, lineage tracking, and reconciliation processes
- Designing and delivering well-documented, reusable data products for BI and analytics consumption
- Working directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements — you'll need to communicate as well as you can code
What you need to bring
Essential
- 3+ years of hands-on data pipeline development and/or data modelling experience
- Demonstrable Data Vault 2.0 experience — ideally greenfield builds, not just maintenance
- Advanced SQL — window functions, CTEs, performance tuning
- Experience with at least one ETL/ELT framework: dbt, Airflow, ADF, Fivetran, or similar
- Fluent English and availability to work German business hours (CET/CEST)
