Role: Data Warehouse Expert - SC Cleared
Location: Remote (Once a month to office)
IR35: Inside
Rate: £600/day (Umbrella)
Duration: 9 Months
Security Clearance: Active SC essential
The Data Development team plays a vital role in the delivery of operations, by developing and implementing data products and services and integrating them into analytics and Business Intelligence systems. The team works collaboratively with data analysts, statisticians, IT professionals and external service providers to deliver value from the agency's data assets.
Job description:
An opportunity to develop and deliver data products key to supporting the agencies objectives. Collaboratively working with our digital and technology project teams as they design and build new operational systems and data streams. Assisting the Analysis and Performance function to maximise the value of the agency's data assets across multiple enterprise-level data services.
The role requires the following key skills and experience:
Demonstrate 5+ years in data and technology roles working with data teams, delivering and building data solutions.
Microsoft SQL Server Technology Stack.
Experience in SAP BI 4.1 and Data Services 4.2. With primary focus on Data Services ETL development and implementation.
Experience and Knowledge of standard data warehousing:
- Data Marts
- Star and Snowflake Schema
Experience of Azure PaaS/IaaS technologies:
- Synapse (Data Warehouse)
- Data Factory (Data Flows)
- SQL Database
- Databricks
- Data Lake Storage
Programming and analytics skills:
- T-SQL
- Nice to have: Python, R, Scala, Power BI
- Design and build new data models.
Experience with Data warehouse solutions SQL, ETL, Reporting, etc.
Experience working with teams using DevOps and continuous delivery.
Experience and understanding of wider Microsoft Azure capabilities in general.
