Description
We are currently recruiting for a Database Developer for our clients based in Brussels for a 1 year + contract -Nature of the tasks
· Design, implementation and maintenance of database layer of multi-tears applications
· Data analysis, data modelling.
· Development and maintenance of database stored procedures
· Database configuration and optimisation
· Database integration with applications.
· Execution of database test programs
· Definition and integration of database components
· Physical database design
· Writing of technical documentation
· Assistance with deployment and configuration of the Database
· Participation in meetings with project teams
Knowledge and skills
· In-depth knowledge of relational database systems
· In depth knowledge of SQL
· Good knowledge of modelling database tools
· Good knowledge of stored procedure languages (e.g. pl-sql)
· Good knowledge of application development environments
· Knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications
· Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
· Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
· Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting
capability and experience in working in team.
Education and experience
· Minimum 11 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school
· Minimum 6 years of IT professional experience
· Minimum 2 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems
· Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL
· Experience with programming languages
· Experience with DB modelling tools
· Experience in web application development
Specific expertise
· Minimum a total of 6 years of professional experience in one or more of the following: RDBMS
(e.g. Oracle), DB languages (e;g. pl/sql), modelling tools
· Specific expertise: J2ee knowlege & strong Oracle
Education and experience
· Minimum 13 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school
· Minimum 9 years of IT professional experience
· Minimum 2 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems
· Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL
· Experience with programming languages
· Experience with DB modelling tools
· Experience in web application development
Specific expertise
· Minimum a total of 9 years of professional experience in one or more of the following: RDBMS
(e.g. Oracle), DB languages (e;g. pl/sql), modelling tools
· Specific expertise: J2ee knowlege & strong Oracle
Language
· Excellent written and oral command of French and English
