Responsibilities
In the role you will support and maintain a large Oracle databases covering the EMEA region:
Oracle Database 11g, 12c and 19c
700+ Oracle Databases
600 TB of SAN storage
400 applications
Responsibilities:
- Shared responsibility for backup, recovery and monitoring.
- Deal with change requests and end-user queries for the systems that you will be primary DBA for.
- Deal with serious and critical production Oracle issues in a timely manner.
- Provide infrastructure, engineering and performance tuning advice to application development teams.
- Provide guidance/support to other DBAs.
- Cover early (08:00 - 16:00) and late shifts (10:00 - 18:00).
- Provide second level on call Mon - Sun outside business hours for one week in approximately six (first level is provided offshore).

- Knowledge of ITIL procedures and best practices
