Role Purpose
- Support the CTO in evolving the operating model to enable my clients strategy, especially regarding development, Business Intelligence and release management
- Manage development team (2 experienced Dynamics 365 developers)
- Manage business intelligence/analytics team (2 experienced Microsoft Power BI and data analytics developers)
- Take ownership of release management across the landscape and manage testing (3rd party test service) to align with this
The role will be hands-on, managing the support of business applications and guiding the team in the design and development of software solutions across the technology stack, but primarily in Microsoft Dynamics 365; offering technical, development and environment expertise at all stages of the software development life cycle.
Required Experience
- Experience as a Development Manager or as a team-leader with direct reports within an internal development team of varying technical disciplines
- Demonstrable commercial experience in ERP (ideally Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX 2012 onwards) ideally within the Retail sector (formal certification preferred)
- Strong Microsoft SQL skillsets including complex Transaction-SQL and experience using SQL Analysis Services and SQL Reporting Services, ideally including within Azure platform-as-a-service based environments.
- Exposure to X++ programming, and advanced X++ programming (eg COM, XML, Web Services, ODATA)
- Understanding of D365/AX architecture and database structures - ideally including cloud hosted environments through Microsoft Lifecycle Services and Microsoft Azure
- Exposure to Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps to Microsoft Lifecycle Services hosted environments
- Programming skills in Microsoft .NET Framework: C#, ASP.NET are desirable
Any experience in the wider Microsoft Dynamics and Power family (Power Apps, PowerBI, Flow) is also desirable.
