Description

Summary:
  • In this role, the candidate will plan, execute and report the results of testing on electro-hydraulic components such as actuators, valves and coils.
  • Testing includes electrical, environmental, performance and durability.
  • Candidates will integrate with fellow technicians and engineering staff.
  • Candidates are also responsible for the safe execution of their testing and proper PPE adherence at all times.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute and report validation and research testing on electro-hydraulic components using standardized documented procedures.
  • Review requests from engineering staff and understand the tools needed to complete the job.
  • Investigate equipment failures and diagnose faulty operation.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose test setups or devices under test that do not function as expected.
  • Develop and implement safe job procedures for activities.
  • Coordinate fabrication and modification of test equipment with external suppliers.
  • Support other internal labs with specialized testing on your components.
SKILLS:

Education/Experience:
  • Candidates are expected to have at least a 2 year technical degree in or related to Electronics Technology, Mechatronics Technology, Diesel Powered Equipment Technology or at least 5 years related experience working on electro-hydraulics, Mechatronics or fluid power.
Required Skills:
  • MS Word and MS Excel, knowledge of digital multimeters, PLC and fluid power safety.
  • Candidates must be self-starters, able to work alone much of the time, but also able to work well within a team environment.
  • Candidates must possess a good attention to detail.
  • Creativity, good verbal and written communication skills, and analytical problem solving ability.
  • Must be a team player and detail oriented
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working with data acquisition systems, environmental equipment, experience working in a lab environment and MS PowerPoint
