Our banking client requires a DevOps Coach on a contract basis, the role would require 50/50 office attendance and remote working
Job Descriptions:
- Make sure Tribe's CI/CD pipelines are running smoothly - support the squads in releasing their changes to different environments.
- Create, Review, Maintain & Evolve the Tribe DevOps strategy and roadmap - by connecting with stakeholders.
- Perform PoC/Pilot for the solution.
- Develop (Hands-on) or coordinate with other stakeholders and implement new/enhanced DevOps solutions for the Data Platform.
- Coaching/Mentoring the squads to follow new DevOps standards.
- Documenting the best practices/user manual/technical setup etc.
- Perform/support Tribe release activities - as a backup to TRE.
Required Soft Skills:
- Very good knowledge of oral and written English.
- Should be able to adapt his/her presentations to the audience going from very technical engineers to the management level.
- Should have an Agile mindset, be a team player, like to share knowledge, learn and adapt fast.
- Should be open to give and receive constructive feedback and inspire accordingly.
Required Technical Skills:
- Should have strong knowledge of DevOps - with a deep understanding of coding languages.
- Should possess strong knowledge of SDLC & IT Architecture ( Infrastructure/Platform/Application layers) - Good to have exposure to Data platforms, especially Big Data.
- Should have an understanding of emerging technologies on DevOps & Cloud - Observability, BDD/TDD, Test Automation, Containerization(K2s) etc. Hands-on in these technologies/concepts is a plus
- Should be aware of the product/software release standards & processes.
Language: Python & Groovy (Advanced), Unix (Basic).
Tool & Technology: Jenkins, Ansible, Sonar & Git (Expert), Release Orchestration (Advanced), Kibana & Docker/K2s (Basic).
(Nice to have exposure to Big Data technologies)
