DMSG Professional Services require experienced DevOps Engineers; proficient in design, automation, building and operation of infrastructure and application components.
Working as part of an Agile delivery team, the successful applicant will ensure compliance with requirements and quality standards, whilst taking ownership for the automation, deployment and operation of solutions alongside designing and building components that are scalable, resilient, secure, cost-effective and minimise lock-in.
Tech Skills:
- Demonstrable experience with web applications
- Cloud platforms knowledge
- Ability to rationalise between different approaches to configure and manage infrastructure platforms.
- Strong networking skills.
- Knowledge of continuous integration tooling with advanced use-cases eg Jenkins/TeamCity.
- Scripting languages to automate tasks eg bash, python, ruby, batch, Visual Basic or PowerShell.
- Ability to deploy web services to production environments.
- Comfortable utilising version control systems such as git as part of a peer review and testing process.
- Ability to implement basic security controls for the components you lead with delivering.
- Advanced troubleshooting within Linux and/or Windows
- Knowledge of how code should be released to production as part of a Continuous Delivery pipeline.
- Implement configuration management tooling and can explain at least 1 technology in depth including testing eg Puppet, Ansible or PowerShell.
Aside from this the successful applicant will appreciate how to communicate technical designs spanning multiple components in a simple, concise manner and will be used to working in a fast-moving environment.
