Description
1 Mission descriptionThe Group is launching a new initiative called the “Flexibility Track & Trace” program. This program is de-signed to enhance our ability to systematically monitor and predict the flexibility of our system across var-ious future time horizons. This will necessitate collaboration with current (and possibly new) activities that gather flexibility information from the HV Group Grid, as well as the MV & LV DSO grid.
We also need to accumulate load data and/or flexibility capabilities from Electric Vehicles (EVs), batteries, Heat Pumps, and Photovoltaics (PV). It's critical to monitor their adoption rates as source of flexibility. The gathered information will bolster and reinforce existing processes such as balancing reserve sizing, and adequacy & flexibility assessments.
This initiative aims to ensure that Elia continues to optimally deliver on the energy trilemma of Affordabil-ity, Sustainability, and Security of Supply.
