1 Project descriptionThe Designer Engineering LA&S (Linear Assets & Structures) is responsible for the studies of underground high-voltage connections and overhead high-voltage lines within infrastructure projects (380kV, 220kV, 150kV, 110kV, 70kV, 36kV). It concerns the construction, extension and/or modification of these connec-tions.
The designer has the following duties and responsibilities:
• the studies must be in accordance with the norms and standards in force and include:
o the preliminary designs and feasibility studies
o the plans required for permit applications to the relevant administrations
o the plans needed for the execution in the field
o the scenario of the works with the different phases of work
• Carries out the studies autonomously and provides all the documents and plans necessary for the proper execution of the project.
• For certain projects, he/she works closely with external study agencies and guarantees follow-up and ensures quality through checks.
• Ensures the quality and coherence of solutions in relation to the other disciplines.
• Works in a project team, in close collaboration with the project leader and fellow designers in which he/she assumes a strong support function.
2 Profile requirements
? We are looking for someone with a Bachelor level. Preferably in electromechanics, electrical engi-neering, mechanical or construction engineering or equivalent through experience.
? Basic knowledge of electricity is a plus but not a requirement.
? Most of the projects are in Flanders. A good knowledge of Dutch is therefore important. Bilingual-ism is a plus.
? Knowledge of the MS-Office package and experience with a CAD software (3D).
? Have a strong sense of responsibility.
? Have excellent organizational skills.
? An assertive communicator who is customer focused.
? A team player.
