Electrical Distribution System Design Engineer -North OxfordshireThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated engineer to deliver electrical systems for a variety of projects.
The role will be within the Vehicle Integration team, reporting to a Chief Engineer and has scope for promotion for a candidate with the right skills.
Position :- Electrical Distribution System Design Engineer
Basis :- Permanent role
Salary :- £35-45k + benefits, depending on experience
Role :- The Electrical Distribution System (EDS) Engineer is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the integration of EDS system design for the vehicle. Schematic and harness design form the key components of the role.
Duties of the Electrical Distribution System Design Engineer:
*Liaise with Customer to understand project requirements
*Provide accurate circuit designs in Vesys using best practice
*Provide fault finding and onsite support for customers
*Preparation of Bill of Materials and liaison with suppliers
*Attend meetings, write reports and give presentations to clients/potential clients
Education required from the Electrical Distribution System Design Engineer:
*Minimum HNC/HND in electrical/electronic engineering or related discipline is preferred
Experience required from the Electrical Distribution System Design Engineer:
*Vehicle electrical systems knowledge
*Experience in automotive electrical system design and harnessing
*Experience in automotive electrical system fault finding
*Conversant with at least one schematic modelling package (preferably Vesys Classic but others will be considered)
*Experience with and automotive standards and general practices
*2 years post-graduate experience or significant time in similar role
*Knowledge of hybrid and/or EV automotive architectures would be an advantage

Skills preferred from the Electrical Distribution System Design Engineer:
*Knowledge of Hybrid and or EV automotive architectures
