Electrical & Instrumentation Project Manager - Energy Solutions

An Experienced Electrical Project Manager is required to work for a company based in Ellesmere Port on Energy projects. A permanent position working for a company that specialises in Oil, Gas, Nuclear and renewable energy solutions. They offer design, manufacture and project management solutions to clients worldwide in the energy industry. A varied role that would include and working alongside in house engineers and contractors on a number of projects at various different stages in the life cycle. The experienced engineer will be required to work in a fast-paced environment managing projects whilst utilising their technical expertise. The client has an international presence and a recognised name in the energy industry. The role itself may include international travel. This is a fantastic opportunity offering a competitive £50,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Benefits.

The position would best suit engineers with experience of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering and Project Management.

You will need to have proven Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering experience with knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment used in either Oil, Gas or Process industries.

Design experience would be beneficial, however training in this area would be provided.

You will need to have Experience with:
  • HV and LV wiring systems
  • Understanding complex Electrical and Instrumentation drawings
  • Instrumentation equipment from either Oil, Gas or Process industries
  • Managing and supervising internal staff and contractors
  • Being responsible for project safety, cost and quality
  • Preparing Work Instructions, Risk Assessments & Method Statements
  • Procuring and controlling project materials
  • Providing monthly project reports and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget


You must also possess
  • Good team playing skills, someone who enjoys working with people from different professional and cultural backgrounds.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to; design, plan, coordinate and execute complex tasks within time constraints and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills and be comfortable in front of customers and suppliers with the confidence to hold discussions at board level meetings.
  • An ability to develop effective working relationships with the various decision makers within the relevant utilities.


The client is also prepared to invest heavily in training for an individual who demonstrates the right attitude to increase their own knowledge and develop new skills.
