Role: Electronics Design EngineerLocation: RedHill
Duration: 6 months
I am seeking a hardware design engineer to join a small team on developing smart-card payment systems.
You must have experience of electronics development and digital and analogue experience.
Key Skills:
* Digital design including VHDL
* Analogue and electronics design such as power control
* Schematic capture experience
* Hardware architecture experience
* Design verification testing
* Power supply experience
The Role:
- Fulfil customer development through design, component specification, prototype, testing and full documentation.
- The products you will be working on are automated fare and contact less payments.
- Carrying out electronic tests and design
- Preparing systems and engineering specifications and obtain quotations from subcontractors and materials suppliers
- Carrying out electronic engineering tasks including design, testing, documentation and review
- Preparing systems and engineering specifications to obtain quotations from subcontractors and materials suppliers
- Providing technical assistance to all areas of the business on specific issues relating to electronic engineering
The successful applicant will possess excellent experience in an Electronic Design/Manufacturing role, experience of electromagnetic compatibility and low voltage directive, experience of designing for an electronically noisy environment and knowledge of preparation of design and test specification. In addition, any experience of Microprocessors, Communication systems and contactless smartcard/automated fare collection systems would be highly desirable.
