A Renewable Energy client is looking for x2 Consultants to work as ELS Fabrication Managers for their offshore wind farm project. This is a 12 month freelance contract role to start 1st December 2017 up until approx. 30th November 2018 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. The Consultants should expect 10 - 15 days a month travelling.Responsibilities:
- Define inspection strategies for each contract with input from THC/HVC managers.
- Support review and requirement for supplier documentation on coating, mechanical and electrical specification.
- Must be up to date with relevant supplier LL, to be implemented in the asset project.
- To make sure all relevant LL from inspections are captured and registered.
- Align inspections with supplier audits.
- To plan quality assurance activities for the package in cooperation with each THC/HVC manager and ensure activities are carried out.
- To advise and assist package project team on all quality matters.
- Establish a systematic approach on inspection and registration of finds, to make visible and trackable.
- To use standard inspection/status reporting as aligned between functions.
- BSc/MSc in Engineering and formal quality training as lead auditor or similar.
- Minimum 5 years. experience within quality management.
- Minimum 5 years. experience within renewables and or construction.
- Minimum 5 years. experience working on a project Matrix organisation.
- Would be an advantage to have experience with Quality Management system and experience of quality management with various MV,HV, EHV cable manufacturers and transformers and HV component manufacturers.
- The Consultant must bring his/her own PC & i-Phone mobile telephone.
- The Consultant must bring his/her own PPE equipment.
