Employee Insights Data Manager, Up to £535 per day, 18 Month Contract, ASAP Start, Amazing Technology led organisation in Cambridge

Overview of the
Employee Insights Data Manager:

The People Analytics team within this global technology led organisation plays a critical part in supporting both the business purpose and their People Group ambition by providing data-driven insights that help the leadership teams make informed decisions related to attraction, progression, retention, inclusion and motivation. This team very much partners with other internal groups around the business ie Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, People Services, Finance, Operations (to name a few!) to develop meaningful metrics and analytics.

They consider complex questions - looking beyond what's happening to explore what is possible and they investigate technology options for sharing employee data insights. They also advise on best practices for data quality metrics and promote a healthy respect for personal data.

The Employee Insights Data Managerwill drive the development and delivery of the People Analytics strategy and will report directly to the Vice President of Talent (Based in The US)

Employee Insights Data Manager responsibilities:

You will flex both your leadership and management muscles by developing partnerships across the business, providing thought leadership in the Employee & People Analytics domain - staying abreast of industry trends in people analytics and tools, and managing the People Analytics team to balance required deliveries and personal development and potential.

You will develop the Employee & People Analytics strategy for delivering insights across various People and business stakeholder groups, including identification of opportunities for improved efficiencies and collaboration across teams. You will also determine prioritisation of work and effectively communicate our roadmap to our stakeholders.
Part of your role will include oversight to the Executive Committee and leadership teams analysing on people data including monthly dashboards, balanced scorecards, and specific topics such as COVID-19 impacts or attrition.

You will provide an advisory viewpoint on analytics and reporting that is aligned with our clients People Group approach to data and the People Analytics team's strategy to cross-functional project teams working to deliver strategic initiatives.

You will partner with our Senior Director, HR & People Services to maintain people data management and security principles and advise on people data quality methodology; and you will maintain operational reports standards.

Essential experience:
  • Ideally 7+ years experience in People analytics with increasing responsibilities including analytics strategy development and people management
  • Experience working closely with senior leaders and driving results with people at all levels
  • Experience developing and delivering upon a complex portfolio of projects
  • Comfortable with shifting priorities, often driven by competing senior leadership initiatives, with ability to maintain confidence and organisation within the team and with stakeholders
  • A curious spirit, with a passion for using data to uncover why and explore what if
  • Experience translating stakeholder requirements into analytics deliverables and generating meaningful dashboards, reports, visualizations and insights including discussing results with various stakeholder groups
  • Healthy respect for and advocate of people data confidentiality
  • Knowledge of hypothesis testing and data mining methodologies
  • Deep experience with HR, Business Intelligence and visualization technology with strong preference for SuccessFactors Employee Central, iCIMS, Tableau, PowerBI
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of statistics (descriptive, regression, etc.)
  • Preferred degree in a relevant area of study such as (but not limited to): Statistics, Business, Psychology, Organizational Design, Mathematics, Social Science, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in a field requiring extensive use of quantitative analysis
