Description
The primary responsibility will be to support a newly organized group of existing individual contributors in aggressively hunting for additional business in each identified region.
Background requirements (mandatory):
- Experienced with energy TCO analysis from OperCO's overall telecom network
- Energy evaluation and provide consultation aimed for telecom operators
- Deep understanding of energy management, energy saving, site energy modernization/integration, site cooling systems, etc.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
- Own all elements of the technical relationship with the customer
- Technical evangelist for all service offerings
- Primary interface and point of reference for the customer's technical and engineering staff inquiries and follow-up
- Able to understand, articulate, manage and respond to customer's detailed technical issues
- Developing customized solutions that for customers
- Working with regional team members to deliver presentations to 'installed base' and new customers
- Working closely with account service directors and managers in creating and delivering compelling RFx responses, tenders, presentations, consultations and proposals by providing service information, value argumentation, bill of materials (BOMs) and network designs
Additional responsibilities may include the following:
- Proactively working with cross functional Pre-Sales and Post-Sales teams in the Global Technical Service Department to create competitive offers using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models
- Attending CXO customer discussions
- Analyzing technical developments to identify trends and opportunities
- Researching the market and competitor's activities
- Providing customer specific and regional feedback to Account Service Department for improved regional strategy
Qualifications
- Candidate will have spent several years supporting the selling of telecommunications services into diverse countries.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required, MS strongly preferred
- 15+ years progressive technical experience preferred
- 10+ years telecommunications experience preferred (either with an operator or vendor)
- 5+ years in technical or sales engineering experience
- Ericsson experience preferred, but not essential (8+ years ideal but not a must)
- Be able to travel frequently with short notice and work internationally
- Ability to work flexible hours in an international business environment
- Must possess strong customer facing skills
- A solid track record of accomplishments in technology leadership
- Experienced in preparing and delivering presentations and proposals
- Excellent English written, oral and listening skills. Additional languages a plus.
- Extensive experience with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
