DESCRIPTIONThe Engineer will manage, supervise and train in-country network engineering staff.
Responsibilities:
- Independently direct support activities and evaluate system engineering design.
- Perform a variety of responsibilities as a senior individual contributor engineer with high degree of competency in related engineering principles.
- Develop financial inputs to business case assessment in proposal preparation responses for international or market regulatory bodies.
- Provide a highest level of technical guidance, leadership and training to less experienced engineers.
- May supervise a group or several project teams.
- May manage engineering teams.
- Focus on wireless data: specifically, the production network architecture and deployment design/engineering of the MSP, GGSN, CSG, RADIUS and associated enablers.
- Partner with CTO Packet Core team to develop a firm plan for the 3GPP R7 evolution.
- Work with the vendor to identify capacity configuration changes with each new platform release.
- Create and maintain standard nodal configuration guides.
- Work with the Operations Teams to standardize and/or maintain site- and node-specific configuration provisioning documentation for deployed nodes.
- Must have wireless data background with a focus on mobility core elements such as MSP, GGSN/PDG, PCEF, PCRF, CSG, RADIUS, DNS.
- Expertise in Ericsson Hardware, Multi-Service Protocol, Data Networking, and Telecom Networking required.
- Knowledge of CCNA is needed.
- Ability to multitask is essential.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience with responsibility of capacity, reliability, and operational support of CCIE preferred.
