Description

Position Description:
To ensure that engine assembly, strip and investigation/resolution activities are completed in accordance with the master plan. To work with procurement and material planning depts to ensure that parts kits are available on time. To formally raise all issues encountered to all parties concerned in accordance with established quality procedures. To ensure that products are completed to the highest standard possible. Create a model or physical hardware of an engine to support early palletisation/SWAT activity. To communicate information to team about any changes affecting build process or parts changes.

Skills Required:
Familiarity with BOM. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and create machining/fabrication requests. Good communication skills. Management and co-odination of multiple workshop activities. Familiarity with quality systems and fault reporting methods. Co-ordination and control of development parts. A good understanding of prototype engine build procedures.

Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of JLR or Ford systems

Experience Required:
Experience of prototype engine build environment. General engineering background understanding machining and fabrication methods. Use of MS Word, Excel, Project and Powerpoint. Knowledge of GPIRS would be an advantage.
