Engineering Manager- Fraud Prevention

Our client prioritizes using advanced technology for innovation and exceptional customer service. In this role, you'll lead in designing and strengthening IT architectures focusing on reliability and security. Your expertise in Java, Kafka, Rest API, and Elasticsearch will be key in defending against cyber threats.

In this role, you won't just lead; you'll motivate a team of dedicated experts, guiding them toward creative solutions and ensuring the strength of our CyberFraud platform. Your skill in navigating complex IT systems, focusing on reliability and security, will be crucial for our success.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a proactive team in combating cyber fraud, emphasizing prevention and mitigation.
  • Collaborate across teams to smoothly integrate IT solutions and uphold a secure IT environment.
  • Work with IT leaders to develop and execute a vision for inspiring growth and innovation among engineers.
  • Support engineers' professional growth through coaching, personalized development plans, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Design, implement, and uphold resilient IT architectures, prioritizing reliability, and security.
  • Leverage expertise in Kafka, Rest API, and Elasticsearch to enhance data capabilities and efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and cybersecurity practices to continually improve team capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards and regulations through effective policy implementation and monitoring.


Requirements:
  • Proven leadership experience in Cyber Fraud and/or IT.
  • Deep understanding of Kafka, Rest API, Elasticsearch, REDIS, and Azure DevOps.
  • Solid background in IT architectures, prioritizing reliability, IT security, and Security Testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve business goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation procedures.


Nice to Have

Pertinent certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.

Andrew Ng's Machine Learning Specialization.

Experience with Apache Flink.
