Description
The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for planning the project and ensuring that the project is completed within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost, to deliver specified requirements and meet customer satisfaction. To achieve this the project manager must work, and communicate effectively, with people from all functions of the business. In short, the Engineering Project Manager has total responsibility for a project and its successful completion.Assigned responsibility may include
* Acting for Engineering Programme Manager
* Taking full responsibility for the delivery of projects to the agreed requirements including cost, time and quality
* Taking a leading role in business change programmes
Key Responsibilities
Programmes should be managed using company project management standards and incorporating industry best practice, to include:
* Planning projects or programmes to meet requirements including cost, time and quality.
* Identification and management of risks
* Meeting or exceeding the expectations of stakeholders
* Product fit, form, function, post design support
* Needs of managing multi-disciplinary team including Electronics, Mechanical, Environmental, Production Engineering, Purchasing, Production Control, QA
* Design for manufacture
Leadership standards
* Lead project team(s) in accordance with the company Project Management processes
Business capabilities, change and improvement
* Assist with and advise on Continuous Improvement or company change initiatives as required
* Lead the implementation of strategy, practices and tools for assigned teams
