Factory Automation Senior Software Engineer£500 per day
Colchester
As a Factory Automation Senior Software Engineer you will be a team member of the Factory Automation team. The Factory Automation team is responsible for providing the SECS Standards compliant software interface for a number of the companies products including X-ray Inspection Systems and Bondtesting Systems. The software is also responsible for material handling across the product suite (EFEMs, FOUPs etc.).
Essential skills & experience
- Educated to degree level in engineering, science or mathematics or equivalent in an appropriate technical discipline, for example: Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Mathematics or Physics;
- 5+ year's work experience with preferably C# development, or C++/JAVA, in a multi-threaded environment while working in semiconductor or engineering domain;
- Software design and architecture experience;
- Preferably work experience with software control of electro-mechanical or robotic systems;
- Preferably having experience with tools to factory host communication and understanding of appropriate standards including SECS/GEM.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team based environment;
- Ability to develop software in an agile environment using a TDD approach;
- Ability to analyze existing code to identify issues and enhancements;
- A high degree of flexibility in a continuously changing environment;
- Ability to use SECS/GEM software libraries and test tools;
- Excellent Communication skills in English verbal, written and presentation;
