Description
An international company in the energy sector is looking for a Supplier & Framework Agreements Manager for its core electrical equipment. Besides tender negotiations and contract awards, the purchasing department is responsible for the management and daily follow-up of its contracts and suppliers.
In this role you manage the client-supplier relationship with strategic suppliers of high-voltage or low-voltage equipment and proactively support internal stakeholders, mainly the project department. You represent the company towards the supplier and the supplier within the company.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper execution of the projects in line with the contract
- Act as key account manager for the suppliers of your category and for internal stakeholders (program managers, project leaders, experts)
- Lead negotiations and reach reasonable agreements in case of unforeseen situations or claims
- Guarantee continuous improvement through lessons learned and create win-win opportunities
- Manage supplier relationships for your equipment categories through regular status meetings, supplier and factory visits
- Support internal stakeholders on supplier-related topics
- Contract administration and contract change management
- Contract risk management (risk assessment and implementation of mitigation measures if required)
- Contract performance management and management of contract claims
- Documentation, archiving and reporting
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a technical-commercial field with real interest in technical aspects and projects, or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience
- Excellent English (min. B2), as it is the team's communication language
- Very good level of French and Dutch
- Medium seniority: at least 5 years of experience in stakeholder management, contract management, category management, account management or strategic procurement
- Experience in the industry / energy sector
- Fluent and assertive communicator
- You take initiative and appreciate taking responsibility
- Solution-driven, enthusiastic and eager to learn
- You defend the company's interest and your own point of view
- Willingness to travel a few times a year to supplier factories in Europe or to work sites (substations)
- Nice to have: knowledge of SAP and of the energy market
Project Details
- Location: Brussels, Belgium
- Work Model: Hybrid
- Onsite Requirement: 2 days per week, 60% remote
- Workload: 100% (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week)
- Start: 07.12.2026
- Duration: until 31.12.2027, 13 months
- Travel: occasional business trips to supplier factories in Europe
- Non-EU candidates: a valid work permit and residence permit for Belgium are required
