Description
An international company in the energy sector, operating the electricity transmission grid in Belgium and Germany, is looking for a Senior .NET Architect to technically lead a portfolio of applications across different domain areas within its software engineering chapter.
You will support and lead the technical side of the portfolio, guide highly experienced Full Stack .NET developers and drive the modernization of complex Blazor-based microservice applications towards .NET 10 and a modern, Kubernetes-ready architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical aspect of a portfolio of applications in different domain areas
- Support experienced developers with complex technical issues and architecture designs
- Integrate an existing team in order to maintain and support the applications
- Modernize the applications and migrate the services to .NET 10
- Adopt a modern architecture with the target of running on Kubernetes (K8s) within the coming 2 years
- Manage Full Stack .NET developers working on micro-services products
- Coordinate the work of multiple development teams during the sprint and act as a player in Scrum teams
- Give a clear vision on the target architecture and challenge technical choices with other tech leads and developers
- Challenge features with the Product Owner
- Organize collaborative technical sessions with developers and architects
- Explain technical aspects to non-technical stakeholders
- Handle priorities and emergencies efficiently
- Explore new technologies and keep a good technical watch
- Technology stack:
- C# .NET 10 and .NET 4.x
- SQL / MongoDB
- Blazor
- Hangfire
- RabbitMQ
- Clean Architecture
- NServiceBus, moving to Dapr
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a .NET Architect
- Languages: English is a must, with very good knowledge of Dutch or French
- Onsite presence for 2 days per week is required
- Good communication skills
- Experience in coaching developer teams
- Ability to take the lead of multiple development teams
- Seniority in technical issue investigation (good analytical skills)
- Structured in the solution approach
Project Details
- Location: Brussels, Belgium (main office)
- Work Model: Hybrid
- Onsite Requirement: 2 days per week, 60% remote
- Workload: 100% (Monday to Friday)
- Start: 30.11.2026
- Duration: until 31.12.2027, 13 months
- Non-EU candidates: a valid work permit and residence permit for Belgium are required
