Description
Fibre Technician urgently required for leading telecommunication company in South Africa.
You will be experienced in:
Fibre Floating (4f micro-cable(2mm), 12f micro-cable (2mm) & 72f mini-cable(6mm)
Fibre splicing (Fusion Splicing)
OTDR Testing
CPE Equipment Installation
Team leader to perform Access Builds (Duct/Cable installation from curb to inside of premises)
Needs to be certified in the following (preferably FOA);
Fibre splicing (fusion splicing)
Must have at least 2 years experience in fibre optic splicing, testing, floating etc.
Must have a good general knowledge of fibre optics.
Some general Ethernet networking knowledge an advantage.
Must have valid South African Driver's License
Must be available to be on stand-by for unforeseen maintenance (weekends/after hours).
