We are seeking a Field Engineer to primarily be responsible for field based handover activities, including Quality Assurance and handover acceptance decisions of the NBN Network which includes Fibre, Wireless and Satellite.
Working autonomously you will make decisions to accept technical solutions and installation/build quality. You will also be completing quality inspections for contractor provided end-user service installations and fault resolution activities.
You will be primarily in the field but can have a set base in Sydney, Canberra or Armadale. Also included in the package is use of a work vehicle, mobile phone and also company laptop.
In terms of professional skills required:
- Tertiary qualifications or significant experience in telecommunications related disciplines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of power and telecommunications code.
- Demonstrated knowledge of service restoration in a GPON, Satellite and/or wireless consumer network.
- Demonstrated knowledge of service restoration in a core aggregation and distribution network.
Very good communication skills are essential as you will be liaising extensively with various business users.
