Description

**Location:** Belgium

**Objective:**
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing and maintaining various automation systems, scanners, kiosks, time recording systems, access doors, security systems, etc., across various locations in Belgium. The role focuses on both corrective and preventive maintenance to ensure maximum availability and efficiency of these devices.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Maintenance & Repair:** Conduct corrective maintenance based on scheduling, ensuring operational functionality in compliance with specified SLA/OLA. Diagnose issues, perform repairs using predefined solutions, and offer advice on equipment replacement.
- **Preventive Maintenance:** Execute preventive maintenance according to schedules and procedures, prioritizing tasks to enhance work efficiency while adhering to weekly planning.
- **Installation:** Install new devices, including hardware and software, coordinate with internal project managers, and ensure proper functioning post-installation.
- **Reporting:** Provide daily intervention reports, detailing activities, issues resolved, and resources utilized to maintain clear communication and documentation.
- **Supplier Oversight:** Monitor and guide suppliers, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- **Vehicle Management:** Manage the company vehicle's inventory and maintenance to support efficient field service operations.
- **Service Leadership:** Oversee ticket queues, maintain service knowledge and documentation, and lead solution-finding meetings for new structural issues.
- **Backup Dispatching:** Serve as a backup for the dispatch team when needed, monitoring systems, communicating with stakeholders, and coordinating field service activities.

**Requirements:**
- **Education:** Higher secondary education or equivalent through experience.
- **Experience:** At least 1 year of relevant professional experience.
- **Skills:**
- **Must-Have:** Proficiency in computer hardware, operating system installation, electronics, IT, technical troubleshooting, and ticketing systems (ServiceNow or OTRS).
- **Added Value:** Experience in specific Microsoft environments, hardware and software knowledge.
- **Nice-to-Have:** Advanced troubleshooting, remote intervention skills, and experience in project collaboration.
- **Problem-Solving:** Ability to meet maintenance timelines, conduct remote services, plan preventive maintenance, and efficiently manage new installations and troubleshooting.
- **Language:** Proficiency in French or Dutch and English (oral and written).

**Working Conditions:**
This role primarily involves fieldwork, requiring daily travel across various locations, irrespective of weather conditions.
