Field Support Technician
A Field Support Technician with weld joint assessment experience is required to work on a three month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Bovington.
This is a 3 month contract working with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Field Support Technician contract role
As the Field Support Technician you will be responsible for scanning and conducting one-dimensional assessments of weld joints for Structurally Significant Items (SSIs), (eg: Wheel Stations, Towing Brackets, Final Drive Interfaces etc) and Steel Armour Fabrications on a fleet of armoured vehicles.
Key skills required for the Field Support Technician
- Must be PCN or CSWIP Level 2 and certified to ACFM Level 1; but preferably Level 2.
- Must have IOSH Working Safely or can demonstrate a high level of Health and Safety awareness.
- Capable of working on their own initiative, with excellent interpersonal skills, bearing and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the hierarchy, either verbally or in writing.
The role is based in Bovington Commutable from Dorset - commutable from Dorchester, Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Blandford Forum, Bere Regis, Sherborne, Yeovil, Crewkerne, Honiton, Axminster, Lyme Regis and Bridport
