FINANCE BI REPORT DEVELOPER
CUSTOMER IMPACT STATEMENT
Support Finance by delivering insightful professional quality MI and reports, pushing the boundaries of the capabilities of PCL's BI tools (Microsoft, Cognos and Metapraxis Empower). Provide and support reporting for key Finance initiatives including securitisation.
Work with the Finance to ensure the Finance users make maximum use of the self-service BI system, training users and enhancing the system to achieve this.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the MI Manager, the Finance BI Report Developer will:-
Develop and deliver high professional quality MI using the appropriate BI tool for the required MI delivery
Author Reports to a standard suitable for external audiences
Be an expert in the range of BI tools used by PCL
Develop, enhance and support the self-service BI system for Finance including securitisation reporting
Train finance users in the use of the self-service BI system
Work closely with Finance users to understand their requirements
Demonstrate expertise and business knowledge to ensure user requirements are specified to achieve optimum insight, challenging where appropriate
Manage Day 1 Finance Reporting output
Handle Ad Hoc Data Requests that cannot be obtained through self-service BI or Super Users
Work closely with the Datawarehouse team on the design of the database schema and cubes, to ensure that the design is optimised for self-service BI, securitisation and complex reporting
Undertake any other tasks assigned by the MI Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred:
Degree in a technical or numerate discipline
