Finance Director - Newtown St Boswells - 6 months
We have a 6 month contracting positions for an experienced Finance Director to work with our public-sector client based in the Newtown St Boswells, Scottish Borders.
You will be required work as part of the executive management team on an interim basis to ensure that the organisations finance function and services are effectively managed and delivered.
Essential skills
- A relevant professional qualification (for example ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
- Previous experience of leading the financial planning, production of five year projections and supporting delivery of business plans.
- Team management experience
- Experience of preparation, management and overseeing annual budgets
- Proven track record of operating within a Senior Management capacity
- Experience of building relationships with lenders
- Experience in financial planning, control, and risk management
- Proven project management experience
- Excellent communications skills - ability to communicate financial information to non -finance personnel
- Understanding of strategic management, business planning and how these relate to budgets/finance
- Experience of working with accountancy packages and MS Office
- Good understanding of financial modelling
Desirable skills
- Experience of business management of care and support services
- Previous experience in a public or voluntary sector organisation, preferably in the care sector
- Understanding of the financial framework of adult social care and ability to apply this to a range of project work
- Valid current full driving licence
