Finance Manager - 2 Month Contract - Immediate Start
We are recruiting for one of the nation's largest commercial companies who provide an extensive range of construction services including construction management, general contracting, design and build and preconstruction.
The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive Finance Manager to join our Rail project team in Derby on an initial 2 month contract. The ideal will be responsible for the Accounting and Reporting of our Rail Business unit and efficient and driven to produce results.
Key Requirements
- responsible for preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and other financial and management reports, complying with all relevant accounting policies and requirements
- preparation of budgets and forecasts
- ensure accuracy of operational finance results and compliance with relevant Group accounting policies
- act as custodian of financial processes, controls and procedures
- bid pricing and cash generation
- liaise effectively with audits and produce year end audit
- Support operational management to drive business performance to achieve agreed targets.
- manage the balance sheet, cash flow and credit control routines in accordance with Group policy
- entry of results into HFM
- production of annual budget and SRM
- production of monthly forecasts including cash
- cash Collection and Supplier Payments
- ensure risk is effectively managed and reported
- analyse and report on key business financial information
- provide constructive challenge and input into review meetings to ensure that issues and risks are identified, reported and addressed
- be proactive in identifying "weak signals" and leading indicators that may result in budget variances
- undertake ad-hoc reporting and analysis
You
- Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW with 5 years PQE
- Long Term contract accounting £10M+ Business Unit
- Staff management skills
- Hi-Tech, Design or Software Engineering Construction Industry/Rail Sector - Desirable
- Advance excel knowledge ( Basic Macros/Lookups)
- Knowledge of COINS
- Prior use of Hyperion/HFM
- Good presentation skills
- Business Awareness
- Knowledge of current accounting standards
