Volt are currently recruiting for a Finance Partner working for a leading FMCG/Pharmaceuticals giant based in West London.

This role is to provide support to the Finance Director, Indirect Procurement. Expected duration is to the end of 2012.

The focus is on business partnering with the function, to provide expert financial advice and guidance to the Indirect Procurement teams globally, supporting them on projects, initiatives, supplier evaluations and financial analysis.

In addition, a key part of Indirect Procurement's activities are driving savings across the organisation through better buying, and Finance have a key role to play in identifying and tracking those savings.

Also, as part of the broader Global Support Functions Finance team, this role will contribute towards the planning and budgeting process, and the consolidated month end results review (most of the month end transactional activity is done by shared services).

THE ROLE:
Use analysis and energy to enhance the Indirect Procurement performance by:
*Partnering as key member of management teams
*Contributing to Indirect Procurement performance with rigorous, evidence-based and analytical decision making
*Assisting with resource allocation and investment decision support
*Identifying best source analysis to define operational problems and other challenges
*Managing risk management, financial management and governance for the organisation
*Assist with the review of management accounts (actual, forecasts, budgets) to assist the Finance Director Indirect Procurement in signing off on income statement and balance sheet
*Review monthly reports, actuals, and key variances/business drivers to help identify any actions required.
*Provide commentary to standard management reports..
*Provide financial analysis using internal and external information based on benchmarking as requested
*Assist in the management of financial activities/issues for external partnerships eg, joint venture, third-party supplier, outsourcing partner, etc.
*Assist in the management of corporate approvals eg, accounting for intellectual property, appropriate tax and transfer pricing, compliance with corporate development and treasury requirements

THE PERSON:
*Qualified Accountant
*Proficient financial knowledge of modelling, analysis, evaluation, and forecasting
*Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team on projects/initiatives
*Experience working in the Finance function in a global organisation
*Ability to prioritise multiple tasks within a project using project management skills
*Ability to effectively use negotiation and conflict resolution skills
*Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
*Need demonstrated ability to effectively partner across a global Matrix based organisation
