My client is a large bank based in Edinburgh.

They are recruiting for a Finance Projects professional to work on a Project role within a Finance Partnering Team.

The role will report to a Change Manager and comes with line management responsibility (2 Assistant project Accountants).

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved some high profile projects within a well known large bank.

The main responsibilities are as follows:-
*Lead the development and completion of finance impact assessments on a loans system project and other migration events.
*Lead the gathering and completion of the finance requirements, across numerous different finance community teams.
*Work on the Design > Build > Test of financial reconciliations using Excel and analysis from core systems to GLs. Line manage the delivery of this robust reconciliation model to a demanding timetable.
*Assist in the other Partnering team priorities including MI/Product analysis development.
*Ensure high Financial Control standards are developed and maintained
*Liaison with other teams - including senior members of the organisation.
*Work within own team, and the wider Finance team to create a high performing team to deliver objectives.
*Actively contribute to a variety of change programmes
Important Skills and Knowledge Areas
*Qualified accountant with proven projects experience
*Good line management skills. This is not a project manager role.
*Needs to be able to understand the technical accounting aspect of the migration accounting off one system and onto another - so does need to be qualified.
*Experience of roles in large organisations, FS or banking will help.
*Building/design of reconciliations for migration events experience a distinct advantage.
*Solid practical skills, including excel and Powerpoint needed as well as the ability to review and quality assure the excel build work of direct reports.
*Leadership skills - management of small team and influence of stakeholders.
*Comfortable working in a dynamic change environment and newly created team.
*Ability to deliver quality work to tight deadlines and flexible project timelines
*Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Needs to be comfortable having responsibility delegated to them.
*Solid verbal and written skills - as expected to liaise with a variety of stakeholders including IT & Operations as well as Finance colleagues.
