Interim Financial Accountant - Market Leading IT Company - North London
Volt is recruiting on behalf of a leading communications software provider to produce accurate financial reporting/consolidation for the Group within the financial reporting and corporate accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Production of accurate financial reporting/consolidation for the Group including quarterly and annual public company reports.
*Assisting the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
*Reporting key financial performance statistics and management information.
*Ensuring that all the accounting is consistent with current company guidelines and policies as well as recommended Accounting Practice.
*Supporting the potential IPO process and financial reporting compliance post IPO.
*Advising on and implementing complex accounting policies, for example, revenue recognition, acquisition accounting etc.
*Financial analysis and interpretation of reported results.
*Development of accounting systems in conjunction with the IT function.
*Recommending procedural changes and improvements that enhance controls of accounting processes and records to ensure financial risks and exposures are kept to a minimum.
*Development of controls and procedures to support the Company's efforts in complying with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
*Preparation of statutory accounts filing and liaising with External Auditors as required
Requirements:
*5+ years PQE ACA or ACCA
*Preferably degree educated with a 2.1 or above
*Strong technical accounting skills, including IFRS and ideally, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
*Good attention to detail and a proven ability to deliver to a high degree of accuracy
*Ideally have qualified in a Big 4 or medium to large accountancy practice
*Leadership potential with the ability to manage, motivate, develop and inspire others
*Energetic, assertive and robust with the ability to influence at all levels coupled with the tenacity and drive to deliver results
*Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
