Computer Futures are currently working with a client in Financial Services looking for an experienced Anti Financial Crime Manager.

You will have experience in Fraud Prevention and Anti Financial Crime as well as a background in Finance.

Principal accountabilities for this role are:
  • Provision of input to the production and delivery of the Annual FCU Plans setting out the proposed activity for the forthcoming year (e.g. recommendations of content, drafting and agreement with peers, of documentation for approval).
  • Management of a team of financial crime specialists
  • Management of relationships with law enforcement agencies & Local Authorities
  • Subject matter expert, provide training and QA to Financial Crime Unit staff and act as referral point for queries.
  • Provision of input (e.g. drafting content, recommending changes) to design and review of Financial Crime related policies, training and guides and development of the anti-financial crime culture within the company.
  • Ensuring that financial crime related procedures are in place and followed.
  • Ensuring that appropriate transaction monitoring is conducted.
  • Supporting Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance on Financial Crime matters.
  • Representing the client at industry forums and committees.


The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate the following:
  • Degree preferred or A Level with relevant experience; or equivalent in-depth experience
  • ICA qualifications in Financial Crime or Anti-Money Laundering.
  • FPC, FA1 and FA2 qualifications desirable.
  • Subject matter expert on Financial Crime.
  • In depth knowledge of anti-financial crime and counter terrorism legislation. (JMLSG, FCA, POCA, FATF etc)
  • Excellent knowledge of operational processes.
  • Proven ability to undertake complex investigations
  • Excellent knowledge of life and pension financial products.
  • Proven management experience and in coaching staff
  • Ability to influence senior management and present reasoned arguments
  • Able to represent function at internal and external meetings and can produce high quality, accurate, reports to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible in relation to workloads and their prioritisation
  • High levels of discretion and personal integrity when handling sensitive information and situations
  • Able to provide pragmatic solutions which consider the needs of the business and those required by regulations.
