The client and the role:-
My client is a leading investment bank in Brussels. They are currently looking to hire a Functional Architect to be the bridge between business and the technical development and analysis teams. On a daily basis the candidate deals with senior management, both internal and external, and with business and development teams at all levels down the junior peers. The position will include several key functional aspects that are critical to the direction and growth of the business over the next couple of years. These include defining functional architecture of projects, ensuring maximum functional flexibility, explaining functional contents projects to the development teams, support and coaching, monitoring that best practices are maintained, enhancements and testing.
Responsibilities for the Functional Architect - Investment Banking - Brussels, Belgium
- To be the main point of contact between the business (internal and external) and the technical, development and analysis teams
- Defining the Functional Architecture of a project, while ensuring maximum functional flexibility of the systems.
- Maintaining documentation best practices
- Support and coaching all key stakeholders involved
- Monitoring functional design of the applications with a specific business domain
- To design high level and robust architecture and applications.
The person: Functional Architect - Investment Banking - Brussels, Belgium
- Speak Dutch and French to a good standard
- Strong interest in Business Process Analysis
- Knowledge of capital markets and/or insurance and how applications are used in these environments
- Understanding of the full software development life cycle
