GBI Architect - Italy - Montreal Associates
Montreal Associates is looking for a GBI Architect for a client based in Italy.
Location: Milan Arese, Italy
Start Date: ASAP
Duration/length: 12 months

Required skills/experience:
- Italian and English speaker (mandatory)
- Experience in converting business requirements to technical specifications
- Experience in analysis, design, development, deployment and documentation of BI solutions using GBI toolset
- Strong problem-solving skills & proactive attitude
- Design, Develop and Test ETL Jobs, sequences
- GBI Administration
- Knowledge of GBI Architecture
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence basics
- Years of experience - 6-10 years
Nice to have skills/experience:
- Knowledge of other reporting tool like Qlikview
- Background in Business Intelligence
- Manufacturing Domain knowledge
- SQL skills
- DBMS skills (DB2/UDB preferred)
- Knowledge of Unix and Shell Scripting
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for effective and good performance job design with proper exception handling
- Thorough unit and integration testing of Jobs/Application
- Able to work across the projects and have good communication skills
- Up to date on latest ETL technologies and databases
- Analyse Business Requirements/Requirements understanding document and create detailed low level design document
- Develop code and test solutions to meet business requirements. Develop unit test cases
- Provide design, development effort estimates on requirements to respective project managers
- Provide knowledge transition to Support teams for smooth post deployment phase
- Ability to formulate efficient design and development of ETLs/Queries as per best practices/standards
