Will you help build our ambition?
Your challenge
- You play a key role in the preparation of our planned fiber optic projects in Flanders. You collect and consult all essential geographic information in specific areas.
- You are responsible for the input, control and adjustments of this GIS data in the various databases and drawing systems and thus help map out the optimal and reliable construction routes and addresses .
- You perform problem analyzes and constantly look for an optimization of methods and uniformity so that the GIS information sets perfectly meet the needs of our organization and of the construction, commercial and operational teams.
- In this position you work closely with the GIS engineers, fiber engineers and lead architects. You report to the Portfolio Manager.
Requirements
This is you
- You obtained a bachelor's or master's degree and have a university working and thinking level
- You have experience with GIS data and public data sources of the Flemish and federal government
- You have at least 2 years of experience with GIS tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS
- You have extensive knowledge of FME scripting and/or other scripting tools (e.g. Python)
- You have experience with databases
- You have good geographical and analytical thinking skills
- You work detail-oriented and structured. At the same time, you can quickly switch between different systems and projects and keep an overview.
- you are able to work independently but are also a team player who communicates well with colleagues
- You are result-oriented, problem-solving and you have a good dose of operational clout
