NHS General Manager - Emergency Medicine, A&EReal Staffing are collaborating with a highly respected, ambitious & innovative NHS Trust based in London who are looking for an interim General Manager for their Emergency Medicine & A&E Department.
The General Manager will be expected to drive innovative change within the Directorate & draw on their own experienced to ensure the smooth running of all service.
The role will be for an initial 3 month period with a strong possibility of extension, paying around £500 - £550 per day.
Day to day duties of the General Manager:
- Co-ordinate the operational delivery of all services within the Directorate
- Work closely with Clinicians, Matrons, Ops Managers & Heads of Departments to deliver the Quality & Cost Improvement Programme
- Provide Senior Leadership & overall management for the Trust, advising junior members of staff on formal processes
- Drive innovation, modernisation & high levels of staff & patient satisfaction
- Develop a Service Group Delivery Plan to meet service needs
- Ensure strong financial performance against the above plan
- Critically review structures & resources within Directorate
- At all times, ensure you are providing clear leadership to the team Deputise for the Line Manager when required
- Deputise for the Line Manager when required
Requirements for the General Manager position:
- Extensive background in Emergency Medicine Directorates
- Proven experience of managing a significant service budget
- Up to date knowledge of NHS system reform policy
- Experience of managing people & teams
- Influencing & creative skills
- Ability to grasp issues & adapt to change in order to overcome issues
- Proven background in driving implementing change within services
